School Meals

We are very lucky at Gallions Mount to have excellent school lunches provided from our own kitchen. All hot dishes are freshly cooked and provide a very healthy and appetising meal in the middle of the day. Children are served a varied and nutritionally balanced menu throughout the year, examples of which can be found below.

Parents who wish their child to bring a packed lunch may do so but we encourage them to provide one that is varied and healthy. No sweets or soft drinks are allowed. Children are only allowed to bring a bottle of water to school that can be topped up throughout the day at one of our filtered water stations. We also have drinking water available in every classroom from the sinks.

Parents and carers who pay for their child/children's school meals are encouraged to pay £10 (per child) a week in advance every Monday. The money should be sent into school, in the envelopes that are sent home every Friday, complete with the child's name and class on the front. If parents/carers wish to pay a few weeks in advance, termly or yearly they are more than welcome to. Please contact Mrs Forrest at the school office if this is something you would like to do.

Please find attached a copy of our delicious dinner menu.

On special occassions the school cook will arrange themed lunches. This October we were lucky enough to be treated to a Mexican dinner!
