Music Afternoon

On Friday 29th June we held our first Music Afternoon to showcase the musical talents of our students. Unfortunately choir were unable to perform at the Greenwich Music Festival this year so we decided to have our own afternoon show.

Choir kick started the performances with their rendition of This is Me from The Greatest Showman which was followed by P!nk's What about us. We were then treated to performances by our school instrumentalists. Small groups of children played pieces together on Clarinets and Flutes using parts and harmonies. Some songs were accompanied by Simon our Wind Instrument teacher.

Following our instrumentalists were our brand new Country Dancing Club who have been led by Mrs Slack. The club performed 4 dances and kept the crowd moving and clapping along. They were very entertaining!

Choir slowed things down again with an acapella version of Skin by Rag n Bone Man and then turned up the pace again to finish with Come Alive from The Greatest Showman. They even showed us some of their moves.

We would like to thank Kim and Zoe for their hard work this year after school with our choir, Mrs Slack for her efforts in building a new country dancing club during her lunch break and Simon for his wonderful work with all of our instrumentalists. We are very proud of all of our children and hope their musical talent continues to grow.
