School Journey 2019

Before half term some of our year 6 students stayed at the JCA Activity Centre in Rookesbury Park for their school journey.

It was a jam packed, fun filled, educational trip that challenged the physical and mental agility of all of the children. Rookesbury Park is situated in Hampshire and is surrounded by 500 acres of forestry and lakes. The space allows for a variety of different activities to take place indoors, outdoors and also in water.

Some of the activities that our children were lucky to participate in included:

  • Kayaking
  • Fencing
  • Rafting
  • Building Shelters
  • Making Camp Fires
  • Abseiling
  • Orienteering

The children had an amazing time and the weather couldn't have been any better for them, basking in sunshine and have returned to school filled with confidence after conquering some of their fears.

Huge thanks to Mrs Potts, Mr Bailey, John and Diane for taking the children on their journey and supporting them. Also big thanks to all the staff at JCA for working with the children for the week and allowing them to stay.
